Supported Languages

Auto-Detect vs Manual Selection

**Auto-Detect (Default):**

• AI automatically identifies the language
• Works great for most files
• Recommended if you're unsure
• May take a few seconds longer to start

**Manual Selection:**

• You specify the language upfront
• Slightly faster processing
• More accurate for mixed accent audio
• Required for less common languages

How to Select Language

1. 1Upload your audio file
2. 2In settings, switch to "Custom Mode"
3. 3Click the "Language" dropdown
4. 4Select your language or leave as "Auto-Detect"
5. 5Click "Start Transcription"

When to Use Manual Selection

• **Mixed accents** - e.g., non-native English speakers
• **Less common languages** - Auto-detect may not catch them
• **Faster processing** - Skip detection step
• **Consistency** - Always use the same language setting
